About the course

Our online WUMA referee course is for anyone wishing to become a WUMA judge/referee.

Our insurers demand that all judges and referee's are qualified and certified for their role.


Cost:

£39.50 - You have 30 days to complete the online course.


Eligibility:

Must be 18 years of age. Must be the grade of brown belt/or equivalent or above.


Discipline:

Kata/Forms/Patterns/Breaking, semi-contact points, light-contact continuous.


Curriculum:

 7 module online course, practical assessment, certification.

(Members outside of the UK are not required to undertake practical assessment, instead it will be 100% examined online)

We do not require seasoned WUMA referee's to complete practical assessment.


Grading System:

A-Class grade (referee standard): You will achieve this grade if you have completed 50 hours of practical judging/refereeing.

B-Class grade (judge standard): You will achieve this grade once we have signed you off as competent. 

Practical assessment must take place at a WUMA event.
